Els Club Vilamoura set to headline 2026 Vilamoura Pro-Am

 Following a spectacular debut that saw 84 players from 17 countries take on three of the Algarve’s most iconic courses, the Vilamoura Pro-Am is scheduled to return for a second edition in 2026.

Set to be hosted from 2^nd to 6^th February, next year’s Vilamoura Pro-Am will elevate the tournament to new heights with rounds scheduled to take place at the highly anticipated Els Club Vilamoura, as well as the prestigious Old Course Vilamoura and Pinhal Vilamoura.

The Els Club Vilamoura, soon to be the first private members’ club in the Algarve, will open in July 2025, offering an exceptional playing experience, alongside an exclusive clubhouse and premium guest services, redefining the standard of golf in the region.

The iconic Old Course also remains one of the most sought-after golfing destinations, celebrated for both its rich heritage and modern enhancements. Recent renovations such as the integration of cutting-edge TrackMan technology on the driving range, and an upgraded clubhouse have further elevated the guest experience, reinforcing its status among Portugal’s premier courses and offering players a world-class challenge in a truly unforgettable setting.

Participants in 2026 can expect an immersive experience both on and off the course. The week will be packed with social events, including a welcome reception, a dinner and drinks party, and a gala dinner to celebrate the tournament’s conclusion.

Golf Professionals and amateurs are now encouraged to register their interest for next year’s event. Players will be able to either enter their own team of four containing a professional or take up the option to play as an individual and be assigned a team.

DETAILS and US planning experts Next Practice Partners collaborate on visionary project in the refined Vilamoura resort

A stunning new state-of-the-art sports centre will be the latest jewel added to the crown of leisure facilities enjoyed by visitors to Vilamoura in the Algarve, Portugal. DETAILS, the management company which oversees all Arrow Global’s hospitality and sporting assets in the elegant area of Vilamoura, beside the Mediterranean coast, has announced a partnership with US-based agency Next Practice Partners (NPP) on the ambitious project. NPP, a renowned leader in innovative and inclusive planning practices, has professional experience at world class venues such as the Disney / ESPN Wide World of Sports (220 acres with 70+ sports) and an impressive portfolio of clients in operational, strategic and business planning, including the City of Las Vegas (Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World), Los Angeles County (home of the LA 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games), and the Indiana Sports Corp (the first and leading sports commission in the United States). As per the partnership, NPP will lead the concept, strategic and business plan development for one of the largest sports centre footprints in all of Europe, with the 25-hectare site due to open in 2026. DETAILS to spearhead development of new-look Vilamoura as Europe’s leading leisure destination

                

 

DETAILS, a newly established, independent sports and hospitality management platform, has assumed control of some of golf’s most famous real estate in Vilamoura, Portugal, with a vision of elevating the destination to the very best in Europe.

It will oversee the assets within the Dom Pedro Hotels and Golf Collection, which have made the Algarve the hottest spot for visiting golfers on the continent, including the famous Vilamoura Old Course.

The move comes as part of a major multi-year development plan, which will see Vilamoura significantly enhanced through a series of ambitious upgrades, serving to further attract travellers seeking the very best leisure and lifestyle experience the Iberian Peninsula has to offer.

In addition to the Vilamoura Old Course, the Dom Pedro Hotels and Golf Collection comprises the highly popular Dom Pedro Portobelo, Dom Pedro Marina and Dom Pedro Vilamoura hotels, as well as the Victoria, Pinhal, Laguna and Millennium golf courses.

The Dom Pedro Victoria course hosted the European Tour’s Portugal Masters between 2007 and 2022 and saw victories for the likes of Open champions, Padraig Harrington and Shane Lowry, as well as England’s Ryder Cup stalwart, Lee Westwood.
