PRIMO ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH SIX-TIME MAJOR CHAMPION PHIL MICKELSON AND HYFLYERS GC Partnership with World Renowned Phil Mickelson and his LIV Golf Team Marks Significant Growth for Primo’s brand in Performance Golf  Primo, one of the fastest growing golf apparel lines, announced a partnership with HyFlyers GC, the LIV Golf team captained by Phil Mickelson. Tournament to Feature Amateur Stars and Accomplished Pros Including Former Ryder Cup Player, 10 Former Walker Cup and Palmer Cup Players, and Winners on PGA Tour, DP World Tour, Asian Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, Challenge Tour and Sunshine Tour Among Other Global Tours   93 Players Representing 30 Different Countries Will Tee It Up at Riyadh Golf Club in Pursuit of Coveted Spots in the 2025 LIV Golf League and the 2025 International Series  LIV Golf today announced the full field for the second annual LIV Golf Promotions, teeing off at Riyadh Golf Club from December 12-14. The tournament presents exciting pathways for elite players from across the globe to earn their place in the first-ever global golf League and The International Series for 2025.   Beginning Thursday, December 12, the three-day, four-round competition will feature 93 rising stars and accomplished pros including Ryder Cup and Walker Cup standouts, former top-ranked amateurs and NCAA champions, and winners on the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, Asian Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, and Sunshine Tour among other global tours. Open exemption criteria provided accomplished players from around the world the opportunity to enter LIV Golf Promotions, where the top finisher will earn a place in the LIV Golf League next season. In addition, the top 10 finishers, including ties, will earn full exemption into all 2025 events on The International Series schedule, sanctioned by the Asian Tour.   "Building on our first and highly successful LIV Golf Promotions in 2023, the interest has only increased this year as one deserving player will earn the chance to compete in the LIV Golf League,” said LIV Golf Commissioner and CEO Greg Norman. “The strong interest underscores the significance of creating more opportunities in our global sport to ensure current and rising stars of the game can build their careers and compete at the highest level.”   LIV Golf Promotions consists of four rounds of 18-hole stroke play during the three days of competition:   DAY 1: 64 players eligible for category A (see criteria below) compete in round one on December 12, with the top 20 and ties advancing to round two.   DAY 2: In addition to the advancing players, the field will be joined by the players from category B (see criteria below) who automatically qualified into the second round on December 13. Scores will be reset, and the top 20 players (after tiebreakers) will advance to the final day.   DAY 3: Scores will again be reset for an intense full-day, 36-hole shootout on December 14. At Saturday’s conclusion, the winner will earn $200,000 and a highly coveted spot in the 2025 LIV Golf League with the opportunity to be signed by a team. In addition, the top 10 finishers, including ties, will earn full exemption into all 2025 events on The International Series schedule, sanctioned by the Asian Tour. LIV Golf Promotions also offers a prize purse of US $1.5 million.   With an average age of 30, the field is full of next-generation talent. Among the rising stars are Santiago De La Fuente who won the 2024 Latin America Amateur Championship, 2024 European Amateur runner-up Max Kennedy and Luis Masaveu, a top 20-ranked amateur who recently turned professional. The lineup for LIV Golf Promotions also includes 23-year-old Fred Biondi, who was the 2023 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Individual Champion and finished runner-up in the PGATU rankings, only behind Swedish star Ludvig Aberg.   “Playing last year as an amateur was an incredible experience—competing for a spot to play against the best really motivated me and gave me a taste of what’s possible,” said Masaveu. “This year, coming back as a professional is an even bigger opportunity. I’m grateful for the chance to prove myself and build on everything I learned last year.”   The field also features 2016 European Ryder Cup player Chris Wood, and former top 50 players in the world and winners on the DP World Tour and PGA Tour such as Tom Lewis, Adri Arnaus and Martin Trainer.   “I’m really excited to play in the LIV Golf Promotions tournament. LIV Golf ha anunciado hoy las fechas de LIV Golf Andalucía, que volverá al Real Club Valderrama del 11 al 13 de julio de 2025. Este será el tercer año consecutivo en el que LIV Golf se lleve a cabo en el icónico campo que albergó la Ryder Cup en 1997 y que a menudo se considera uno de los mejores campos de golf de Europa continental.

El capitán de los Fireballs GC, Sergio García, regresará al Real Club Valderrama para defender su título individual y el título de su equipo, ya que los Fireballs lograron su única victoria por equipos de la temporada 2024 en LIV Golf Andalucía. Esta victoria fue muy significativa para García, ya que suma a su impresionante currículum de victorias en el famoso campo que describe como su favorito en el mundo.

 

García, que rompió una temporada de cuatro años sin ganar en Andalucía, habló sobre la relevancia de su primera victoria en LIV Golf: “Es muy importante. Obviamente es enorme. Sigo diciéndole a todo el mundo lo difícil que es ganar aquí... Es realmente increíble poder hacerlo en tu país de origen, delante de mi familia, delante de tantos amigos y en mi campo de golf favorito”.

El capitán García, que también ganó el título por equipos en LIV Golf Andalucía, dijo: “Es un sueño hecho realidad poder hacerlo en mi campo favorito delante de mi familia, mis amigos y mis compañeros de equipo. Pero para hacerlo todavía mejor, ganar también el campeonato por equipos fue simplemente increíble. Estoy orgulloso de estos chicos, de la forma en que jugaron. Es un campo difícil, así que fue difícil. Estoy muy, muy orgulloso de lo que pudimos lograr”.

 

El director ejecutivo del Real Club Valderrama, Javier Reviriego, dijo: “Estamos encantados recibir a LIV Golf en el Real Club Valderrama por tercera vez consecutiva. Este evento continua creciendo y es realmente gratificante ver a un número cada vez mayor de aficionados que vienen a disfrutar de golf de clase mundial en nuestro emblemático campo.
